To design and execute a highly engaging Back to School physical installation that positioned Converse Chuck Taylors as a personal, expressive staple for the season. The space served as a platform for influencers, creators, and fans to interact directly with the product through fabrication-led environments, tactile moments, and customization experiences that encouraged discovery, storytelling, and purchase consideration.

the CHALLENGE

Reintroducing an iconic silhouette during Back to School required more than visibility. The challenge was translating a widely recognized product into a real-world experience that felt fresh, participatory, and personal while driving renewed awareness and sales. The installation needed to support interaction, influencer programming, and customization without feeling staged or transactional.

We engineered a modular fabrication build-out composed of distinct rooms, each designed around a Back to School theme, personality, and point of view. Every space reflected a different way Chuck Taylors show up in daily life, from creativity to movement and community. Integrated customization stations allowed guests and influencers to personalize their pairs, reinforcing self-expression while rotating programming activated each room through styling, wear, and content creation.

the INSIGHT

Chuck Taylors do not need to be explained, they need to feel personal again. Awareness turns into action when people see the product worn, customized, and lived in by personalities they relate to. By pairing themed environments with hands-on customization, the experience reframed Chuck Taylors as an extension of identity during a key Back to School moment.
